Sleep and wakefulness are not opposites, but overlapping states, especially during REM, when the mind conjures visions as vivid as waking life. In these moments, dreams may soothe or disturb. REM Sleep Demon dwells in the latter realm: a monochrome apparition born from backlit tissue paper, folded upon itself to reveal a symmetrical specter. The image evokes the eerie clarity of a nightmare where forms emerge from chaos and the subconscious speaks in riddles. Not for the faint of heart, this piece is a gift for those drawn to the supernatural, the psychological, and the beautifully unsettling.
