Luigi in Blue was an early experiment in inverted ICM texture compositing. The ICM image was created in the studio from a variety of found objects, and the texture blend came from an image of stones in a fireplace. The image evokes the sadness of Luigi for committing harmful acts that resulted in incarceration.
