Observe the Dogwoods. One of the first trees to bloom in the Spring, they seem to sleep throughout the Summer shortly after their petals float to the ground. During this period of time they take on a poignant beauty all their own. Leaves still radiant green and with remains of the flowers golden yellow, they softly proclaim 'I am Dogwood - unique in this beautiful world'.
