Blue Wire
$60
One of David’s early explorations in intentional camera movement, Blue Wire transforms a modest subject—a blue plastic-coated wire with a subtle bend—into a dynamic abstraction. Captured through rotational motion and side-lighting, the image reveals a delicate interplay of shadow and sheen. Imperfections in the wire’s coating become expressive gestures, generating fine, contrasting lines that ripple across the frame like electric filaments or calligraphic strokes. What begins as a simple object becomes a kinetic study in texture, tension, and transformation.
